Bridgeport police officers are preparing for a possible youth curfew, causing parents to take sides on the controversial issue. Community activists originally called for a curfew following the murder of 14-year-old Justin Thompson back in January. The policy would require everyone younger than 17 to be indoors by either 11 p.m. or midnight, depending on the day. Police Chief Joseph Gaudett says parents could face fines if their children violate the law, especially since the measure is intended to cut down on the number of teenager-involved crimes.
