Bridgeport police are promising a larger presence as the summer months begin.
During the summer, a mobile command center will make stops at the Trumbull Gardens complex, Stratford Avenue, and the Greene Homes and PT Barnum housing complexes.
Officials say the mobile unit, combined with new technology, will help lower crime rates.
Police chief A.J. Perez says that crime is down 22 percent from last year.
