Bridgeport police say thousands of dollars' worth of stolen power tools were seized during a raid of a local home.
The equipment was seized Friday on Washington Terrace as part of a drug investigation. Some of the items include compressors, weed whackers and electric saws.
Police say thieves have been stealing the equipment so they can trade them for drugs.
"So, there was a lot of really good police work done and our main focus is reuniting this stolen property with the residents and the citizens of Bridgeport so we can give it back to them," says Lt. Paul Grech. "Now, we're living in a time when folks can't always afford this equipment. It's their equipment and we're dedicated to getting their equipment back to them."
Anyone who recognizes any of the tools and thinks they were stolen from them should contact Bridgeport Police.
