A Bridgeport police sergeant was injured during a chase with teenaged carjackers.
Investigators say a 16-year-old boy and teenage girl threw an elderly man to the ground as he was trying to get into his car on Boston Avenue. A police chase ensued that lasted about half a mile. Police say the carjackers deliberately slammed into the officer?s cruiser. The chase ended when the teens crashed into a guardrail.
The two suspects are in police custody. The sergeant?s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
