A local middle school step team is heading to the national competition this summer.
With just two years under their belt, the Bronx Writing Academy step team will be facing off against some of the top step teams in the country.
"It's really hard to get into nationals because you're competing against the top teams," says team member Stephanie Sam.
The team has set up a GoFundMe account to raise $10,000 to go toward their trip to Atlanta in June.
