Friends, family and hockey teammates of a Fairfield native came together as he celebrated being cancer free.
Capalbo Crushes Cancer was held at The Warehouse at the Fairfield Theater Company.
The event, which included a benefit concert, was held for Charlie Capalbo and his family.
Capalbo was diagnosed last year with Leukemia - his second bout with cancer.
He got a bone marrow transplant from his younger brother, Will.
Capalbo is expecting to return to Fairfield University next month.
“This is our way of saying thank you to everyone that's ever helped us out because we couldn't do it without them,” said Capalbo.
Proceeds from the concert benefit 'Child Life Services' at Boston's Children's Hospital.
