The man who allegedly stole wedding gifts at a reception in Westport did not enter a plea Monday in court.
His case was delayed until January.
Police say Frank Burnett, 30, attended a wedding at the Inn at Longshore pretending to be a guest.
Investigators say he can be seen on surveillance video escaping the party with a bird cage, which was holding cards containing cash and checks for the bride and groom.
Police say they found the bird cage dumped nearby, but all the gifts were missing.
Burnett is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 13.
