After Trumbull High School graduate Vinny Pezzella was hit and killed by a drunk driver back in 2016, his parents didn't want flowers, they wanted to do something that would make a difference in other people's lives.
The Vincent Pezzella Memorial Scholarship Fund has benefitted Trumbull High students and those with the Bridgeport Youth Orchestra the past five years.
Music was Vinny Pezzella's life— he was a part of the Trumbull High marching band for five years.
Family and friends usually hold an annual dinner, but COVID-19 has changed things.
This year they'll be golfing at the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course to raise funds for the scholarship.
