A Bridgeport woman says her son is still suffering the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning three days after a furnace malfunctioned in their home.
Cindy Simms says she is deeply concerned about the long-term effects of the potentially lethal vapor on her and her child.
She says a newly installed CO detector saved the lives of two other people as well, who were in the house at 640 Laurel Ave. when the leak occurred early Wednesday morning.
The Red Cross has put all four people up in a local hotel, while fire officials investigate.
