The closure of a drawbridge that runs from Stratford to Milford's Devon neighborhood is expected to take a toll on local businesses.
The Washington Bridge will close for repairs on four weekends this year. The manager at Harborside Bar and Grill in Stratford says he understands the repair work needs to be done, but he expects to lose about 60-65 percent of business on those four weekends.
The first weekend it is scheduled to close is Friday, February 10 at 9 p.m. with the bridge reopening the following Monday at 5 a.m. The second weekend is April 14 and the remaining two have yet to be determined.
