Co-workers are remembering Antonio Muralles a day after two people were arrested in connection with his death.
Police say Muralles spilled coffee on one of the suspects, who then repeatedly stabbed him. They say the teen also had two friends with him who began to beat Muralles while he was on the ground. The incident occurred at the McDonald's location on Bedford Street in Stamford last Wednesday.
Muralles worked as a warehouse manager at Green Mountain Products, located in Norwalk's Muller Industrial Park, for 20 years. Co-workers say that he was the reason the chainsaw-manufacturing company ran so smoothly. They call his loss devastating, both personally and professionally.
Office manager Dale Brown says Muralles, a Guatemala native, was a kind, friendly and dependable co-worker.
