Colleagues and family are mourning the loss of a former Stratford firefighter Monday.
Michael Reilly, 25, was killed while searching for victims of a fire in a building in the Bronx. Part of the building collapsed trapping Reilly and four other firefighters. Reilly was one of two who did not survive.
Reilly spent four years as a Stratford firefighter and also served as a firefighter in Iraq. Friends say his dream was to join the FDNY, and he graduated from the NY academy just last month.
The family has not yet released information about funeral arrangements.
