The special committee formed to look into a Stratford school redistricting plan has decided to recommend it to the Board of Education. The plan calls for students who currently attend Wilcoxson Elementary School and eventually Bunnell High School to instead go to Wooster Middle School then Stratford High School. School district officials maintain that this is the best plan to ease overcrowding at Bunnell High School. Parents who spoke out against the plan Wednesday say they didn?t get enough time to present their case to the committee and that the public is getting shut out of the process. They also say that no matter what facts they produce, the committee most likely made up its mind months ago. Members of the BOE are expected to vote on the recommendation on February 27. The meeting will be held in the Stratford High School cafeteria at 7:15 p.m.
