Homeowners across southwestern Connecticut are still cleaning up from flooding caused by storms last week.
Several communities in the area are helping residents get rid of ruined carpets and rugs. In Bridgeport, officials say the city?s Roadway Department is using a dump truck to pick up soaked and stinky carpets left curbside.
City officials say the pickups will be made until May 5. Bridgeport residents who need to make an appointment to have a carpet or rug cleared away can contact the Roadway Department at 203-576-7124.
