Friday marked "Dream Day" at a Bridgeport elementary school to pay tribute to Dream White, a 10-year-old student who passed away over the weekend from an asthma attack.

Family members say Dream was a serious student who loved spending time with her family, as well as her second family at Edison School.

Dream's friends and family say they're having a hard time dealing with her sudden loss.

A fundraiser was also being held Friday night at 1985 Stratford Ave. to help the family pay for the child's funeral. Anyone who couldn't make the event can drop off donations directly at Baker Isaac Funeral Home at 985 Stratford Ave.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday for Dream.
