Community Health Center is hitting a major milestone today by vaccinating their 250,000th patient.
From COVID testing sites to mass vaccination sites, Community Health Center, like many health care providers, has been crucial in the fight against COVID-19 in Connecticut.
Today, they'll be administering their 250,000th shot in New Britain.
Community Health Center operates several mass vaccinations sites across the state including a drive-thru site in the Lord and Taylor Parking lot in Stamford.
They have also deployed mobile clinics to reach underserved communities.
Currently, 52% of adults in Connecticut have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
Thirty percent of the 16 to 44 age group has gotten at least one dose since becoming eligible nearly two weeks ago.
State officials are encouraging the 16 to 44 age group to get vaccinated, especially teens, ahead of prom and graduation ceremonies.
