The SPCA of Connecticut recently rescued homeless dogs from puppy mills in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The dogs were taken to southwestern Connecticut and given a second chance to find new homes. While five-million homeless pets lose their lives every year, these puppies are up for adoption.
The SPCA of Connecticut animal shelter has kennels full of puppies that it believes have a better chance of finding new homes through adoption.
"[These are] dogs that people will travel two, three, four hours away to adopt here in Connecticut, they couldn't give away in the South," SPCA of Connecticut Executive Director Fred Acker says.
