Some of the state?s bravest held a public safety day Saturday for children at Westfield Connecticut Post Mall in Milford.
Officers and firefighters from Milford, Orange and Stratford showed off trucks, bikes and equipment. Kids saw firsthand how they respond to crime, medical and other emergency situations. Officials also stressed bus safety so students can start the school year on the right foot.
Many children told News 12 Connecticut they also want to serve the public when they grow up.
