Cooling centers are open this week due to the climbing temperatures expected in the 90s over the next few days.
The town of Fairfield and the city of Bridgeport both have cooling centers set up for those looking to get out of the heat.
Fairfield has cooling centers at the police station, the town's public libraries and the Bigelow Senior Center.
Bridgeport also has dedicated spaces for cooling centers at all of the city's public library branches and the senior center.
Officials say masks are required inside the cooling centers where there are mandates in place.
