Fairfield police say an 18-year-old woman in Fairfield was stabbed by her former roommate Wednesday after an argument broke out between them.
Madison Bradstraw, 19, of Bridgeport has been taken into police custody as a suspect.
Officials say the two argued about personal property inside their Renchy Street home just before 11:00 a.m. The victim is said to have sustained several stab wounds to her neck, side torso and right shoulder.
Sgt. Jim Perez says the victim?s former roommate entered the house with two men and another woman before the assault. He believes a knife was used in the stabbing, but a weapon has not yet been found.
Perez says the victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and is cooperating with police. Police say charges against the suspects are pending.
