Bridgeport police are looking for three suspects involved in the brazen burglary of the Mister Wireless cell phone store on Barnum Avenue in Bridgeport.
Police say the suspects smashed a car into the storefront, breaking large panels of glass. Store owner Surender Singh describes the damage as complete devastation, as he will need to close his store for weeks for repairs.
Singh says the glass, debris and smashed ATM machine are just the tip of the iceberg after his Mister Wireless store was ransacked around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. ?It?s a disaster you know? At this point I'm just thinking [about] what's supposed to be done.?
According to Bridgeport police, the vehicle used to smash into the storefront was a stolen vehicle. Officer Keith Bryant says, ?That vehicle sustained heavy rear-end damage and it was unknown to the owner it had been stolen.?
Singh says he had just purchased surveillance cameras but never had the chance to install them. Regarding whether or not he will reopen his store, Singh says, ?It will take some time but whatever it takes.?
