It was "Christmas in July" at Stony Brook University Children's Hospital today.
Santa paid a visit to patients today and brought lots of gifts, including Nintendo systems and an Amazon Kindle. The event was coordinated by the Suffolk Corrections Department.
"Someone who is a two-time cancer survivor like myself, I know it's very important especially for young children who are battling any type of cancer to try to bring some joy and some enjoyment into their life,” said Suffolk Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr.

The toys were collected over the last few months in honor of a young patient who passed away of cancer.
