Some residents in Stamford are fearing for the safety of their pets after coyote sightings in the area.
Kerie Boshka says coyotes attacked her dogs at one point. According to Boshka, her golden retriever saved her much-smaller shih tzu. The shih tzu, named Lexie, now has to wear a cone around her head and take medication for the bite wounds.
The incident has the woman and her husband concerned not only for the safety of their dogs, but their children as well.
Several other people in Stamford have reported coyotes attacking their large and small dogs. The coyotes allegedly went right up to their homes in some cases.
