Crews in Greenwich began digging holes in one neighborhood Thursday to test for contamination.
As News 12 Connecticut reported in January, those who live near Booth Court have met with local and state leaders about their environmental concerns. They are worried about the town dump and an old incinerator near their homes, and say they are glad the Planning and Zoning Board has reordered tests.
Though testing had been completed in the past by the town and private companies, residents did not feel that their concerns had been heard. They say their health has suffered because of it.
News 12 reached out to the town and the Greenwich Housing Authority, but has not heard back.
