Connecticut officials are stepping up efforts to get speeders to slow down in work zones as part of National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week.
The state rolled out a new "Obey the Orange" campaign aimed at increasing driver awareness and to reduce the number of road workers killed on the job by drivers.
Police are reminding drivers that fines are doubled for motorists caught speeding in a work zone and that the law requires drivers to move over for all Department of Transportation, police and emergency workers.
