Communities across southwestern Connecticut are still reeling from the damage left by Tropical Storm Irene last August. The storm hit one year ago tomorrow, and some residents along the Sound say they are still rebuilding their properties by strengthening seawalls and fixing their roofs. Milford Mayor Ben Blake says huge improvements have been made in the past year, but that work may continue until 2013. He also says the city has received $750,000 in federal relief funds, but that he expects the total to reach the millions.
