Bicyclists braved the rain Saturday for a "Bike Ride and Rally" event to support a planned multi-use off-road trail in Stamford.
Cyclists rode their bikes from Scalzi Park to Kosciuszko Park to raise awareness for the city's planned Mill River Greenway expansion.
Organizers say the project will be completed in seven phases.
Bike enthusiasts say the project is necessary because there aren't many places to safely ride in the city.
Organizers say most of the work should be finished over the next five years.
