Hundreds of bicyclists rode from Boston to Greenwich this weekend to raise money for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
A total of 230 riders took part in the Tri-State Trek, a 270-mile journey to spread awareness and raise money for research.
For the Greenwich Police Department, this year's ride was personal. Many members of the department rode in honor of Police Sgt. Roger Petrone, who lost his 6-year battle with ALS in February.
The ride was dedicated to Petrone this year.
Proceeds from this weekend's race will go to the ALS Therapy Development Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
