Police are warning Darien High School students that violating the rules of the road will cost them parking privileges.

The high school and police are working together on the Drive Home Safe Campaign, which will require any student law violations within a one-mile radius of the school to be sent to the high school's administration. If a student is caught speeding or talking on a cell phone while driving, they will receive a ticket and possibly lose their parking spot at school.

"When they come flooding out of school at the end of the day, there is some responsibility from the school's part to take some responsibility for their actions and have some kind of sanctions for these kids driving recklessly," Darien Police Officer Court says.
