(08/14/12) DARIEN - The Darien Library is open again today after a water leak over the weekend damaged the entire lower level.

Library employees say main and back-up pumps that remove waste water broke Sunday morning, flooding the library's lower level with up to 2 inches of water. The drywall, carpet, outlets and supplies were all damaged.

Employees spent yesterday cleaning up the mess. It's not yet known how much repairs will cost.
