A former coach and board member of the New Canaan Lacrosse Association is suing the organization claiming gender inequality.
Dr. Claudia Harris claims she was fired for raising her concerns.
Harris says girls in the program do not get the same training and resources as the boys.
She says when she discussed this with league executives, she was dropped as coach and voted off the board.
Harris and her lawyer are seeking more than $15,000 in damages.
Meanwhile, lawyers for the New Canaan Lacrosse Association say the "lawsuit is without merit."
