A Norwalk road sign was hacked to displayed a political message that read 'Don't vote Joe,' 'Trump 2020.'
The message was displayed Monday on a digital road construction sign along Route 136 in Norwalk.
The Department of Transportation says the sign was provided to them by an outside vendor and that it was hacked.
A spokesperson for the DOT tells News 12, "Crews discovered the message Monday morning, shut down the sign, and reprogrammed the appropriate message. We've contacted the vendor and are taking additional steps to prevent unauthorized access to the equipment."
