Friends and family are playing golf in Norwalk Monday in memory of a fallen soldier.
About 90 golfers hit the course to partake in the third annual Wilfredo Perez Junior Golf Classic. Perez, 24, was killed in Iraq in July of 2003.
Part of the money raised will help fund a Norwalk memorial to soldiers who have died in the line of fire. The rest of the money will fund a scholarship in Perez?s honor. Organizers hope to raise about $17,000.
