Connecticut cab drivers are voicing their concerns after a driver was killed Monday in Norwalk.
Stamford drivers say they were shocked to find out about the stabbing death of Norwalk Yellow Cab driver Jackson Pierre-Louis in his own van.
As News 12 reported, Pierre-Louis, 51, was stabbed several times and crashed into a parked vehicle in a driveway on Grove Street in Norwalk early Monday morning. He was able to call 911, but died at the hospital.
Cab drivers picking up passengers at the Stamford train station say their job is dangerous, and they are concerned a similar incident can happen to any of them.
Stamford driver Hicham Goufal says he has been on the job for about five years now. He says safety concerns caused him to adjust his schedule so that he is only behind the wheel during the day, despite previously being a nighttime driver.
News 12 reached out to Norwalk Yellow Cab, but it declined to comment.
