Police are on the prowl Monday looking for reckless drivers as "Slow Down Days" kicks off in Norwalk.
Police will be out in full force this week throughout the Norwalk area looking for speeders, overweight trucks, drivers without seatbelts or front license plates, and drivers using their cell phones without a headset. They also plan to reward safe drivers with free movie tickets.
Mayor Dick Moccia plans to hold more checkpoints in the next few months to try and make the streets safer. The "Slow Down Days" program will continue until Sunday.
