A Fairfield school was dismissed early Monday because a cafeteria worked tested positive for COVID-19, officials say.
The Fairfield superintendent's office confirmed that Fairfield Woods Middle School would have an early dismissal beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Officials say the dismissal was warranted because without the cafeteria worker who tested positive, the school is not able to serve lunch.
Officials did not say if the cafeteria worker came in contact with any school children or other staff members at the middle school.
