Five people were displaced by a fire Friday at their North Avenue home in Bridgeport.
Fire officials say it happened shortly after 4 a.m.
Bridgeport Fire Chief Lance Edwards told News 12 no one was injured in the fire, but a family was displaced due to the damages.
"Red Cross is providing shelter for five of the occupants in that particular apartment. We did have a smoke condition throughout the building, so we were there for a good hour just to make sure that the carbon monoxide levels were safe,” said Edwards.
Fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
