The Easton Public Library is calling on the community for financial aid due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff say the library relies on a small town budget and a nonprofit called Friends of the Library, but members Gina Orticelli and Patricia Soltisiak recently resigned - leaving the group with no members.
The library says numbers for Friends of the Library have been dwindling over the last few years, and it really relies on the group's efforts like volunteering and fundraising.
The library director, Lynn Zaffino, says she hopes the group can continue.
The library also says some of its staff has already been cut due to budget concerns. The last event for Friends of the Library, a book parade, is next month.
