Electrical fire damages cigar shop in Stamford

Authorities say the fire began in an electrical outlet behind the front counter of the business.

An electrical fire damaged a cigar shop Sunday on High Ridge Road in Stamford.
Authorities say the Stamford Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting the incident at Bulls Head Cigars.
Upon arrival, firefighters from Engine 9 found a moderate amount of smoke inside the store. Most of the fire was already extinguished by the store manager.
Authorities say the fire began in an electrical outlet behind the front counter of the business. It appeared to be caused by an overloaded circuit.
No injuries were reported.
