The Wandering Bus is a school bus transformed into a camper-style home.

Chauncey Carter and his friends spent almost $35,000 remodeling the entire bus inside and out. Carter's goal was to visit almost every state in the country with his fiancee, document the journey, and post it all over social media.

The couple began their journey on March 25.

But a small catch stopped them in their tracks: they were 11 hours too late to renew the visa of Carter's Australian fiancee before the trip. After three weeks in jail, Carter said she was sent back to Australia.

Carter tells News 12 Connecticut that his fiancee is banned from returning to the states for 10 years.
