Fairfield families are basking in the city?s designation as one of the best places to live in America, according to Money Magazine.

The August issue puts Fairfield as number nine out of 745 cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000. The crime rate, education system, employment rate, property taxes, income, climate and other factors were considered. Homeowners say the ranking validates what they?ve always known, Fairfield is a great place to live and work.

Stamford comes in at number 46 and Fort Collins, Colorado tops the list.
