Parents in Fairfield are keeping a close watch on their kids after the alleged abduction attempt of a high school student.
Parents in the area received a letter from Roger Ludlowe Middle School Tuesday about the possible abduction attempt. The letter said a female Fairfield Warde High School student was walking on Melville Avenue on November 17 when someone stopped and asked if she wanted a ride. The student reported the incident to school officials and police. Parents who have children in Fairfield Warde High School want to know why the middle school, not the high school, sent a letter out to parents. The high school's principal did not want to appear on camera, but confirmed he didn't send a letter. Police say they are monitoring the area.
