The towns of Fairfield, Stratford, New Canaan, and New Milford will be holding July 4th fireworks displays this year.
Fairfield's annual fireworks display will take place on Saturday, July 3.
The annual event was canceled last year due to COVID-19.
The display will begin around 9:15 p.m. and can easily be seen from Penfield and Jennings beaches.
Stratford will hold its fireworks display on Thursday, July 1 at Short Beach.
New Canaan's Independence Day celebration will take place on July 3 at Waveny Park and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
There will be picnics, food trucks, live music and of course -- the fireworks display.
Due to COVID-19, only residents with passes will be allowed in.
New Milford's celebration will also take place on July 3 on the green.
The opening ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include live music.
The decision to bring back the event was made in part because more than 50% of the town has been vaccinated.
Towns that are holding July Fourth celebrations also brought back their Memorial Day parades this year as well.
