Sixteen-year-old junior Nick Heim was born with one hand and only a portion of his left arm. However, friends say he?s earned respect instead of sympathy. Lacrosse coach Doug Zarukian says Nick has a great attitude, is very respectful and has never missed a practice.
Nick credits his parents for his positive outlook. Father Doug Heim says they have never treated Nick any differently, but that his differences make him a role model for other kids.
