The family of a missing Bridgeport man says the police recently came to their home to take DNA samples in an effort to find him.
Ayerdel Joel Castrol Castro, 25, went missing last September.
Family members say he was devoted to his mother and would never have left her without giving some kind of explanation.
He was last seen walking to his job as a machine operator and auto-technician on Noble Avenue, where he also lived.
Castro's 5-year-old son is in the care of family members.
Police say they are investigating the disappearance and would welcome any help they can get from the public.
