FEMA gets word out about nor'easter aid in Greenwich
A Federal Emergency Management Agency team was in Greenwich Monday trying to get the word out about financial assistance for April?s nor?easter victims.
FEMA recently ruled to give individual residents and business owners some help to clean up the damages. Over the weekend, FEMA officials set up operations in Bridgeport to answer questions. They plan to set up information stations in Greenwich and Norwalk this week.
Meanwhile, FEMA officials are also going door-to-door to encourage residents to register for help, either by phone or online. Once a person registers, FEMA will make plans to send an inspector to visit the home and determine how much assistance is available. FEMA officials urge all residents to register despite the amount of damage they have.
