A fire damaged several boats and a dock at a marina in Fairfield Sunday afternoon.
The flames broke out at the South Benson Marina on Turney Road at around 1 p.m.
The fire began on one boat and spread to several others, fueled by gasoline. In the end, two boats were destroyed and three others were damaged.
One person wound up in the water and some people got trapped on the dock, but no one was injured.
Firefighters say it took nearly half an hour to get the fire under control.
Amateur video obtained by News 12 shows the raging fire creating plumes of thick, black smoke.
The fire marshal says the fire started when the boat's owner plugged in an extension cord, which created an electric spark that ignited an accumulation of gasoline vapors.
