Firefighters in Bridgeport are looking for the cause of an early morning fire that tore through a vacant home.
Fire officials say the blaze started just before 1 a.m. inside the basement of a two-story home near the intersection of Park and Shelton streets.
Firefighters say the flames destroyed the roof and have badly weakened the structure of the home.
According to firefighters, no one was inside the building and no injuries were reported.
