Bridgeport firefighters responded to a house fire Sunday afternoon.

Fire officials say it broke out around 4 p.m. on Carroll Avenue. They believe it began in the kitchen, but haven't said yet how it started.

Assistant Chief Armando Cora says the fire was on the second floor and was knocked down "relatively quickly."

Officials say one person was transported to the hospital with burns on his arm.
