Flags across the state are flying at half-staff today to honor the fallen Hartford firefighter who died while on the job last week.
Gov. Dannel Malloy gave the order after a Hartford fire Tuesday night in the city's North End killed Kevin Bell and injured three other firefighters.
Bell was the first Hartford firefighter to die in the line of duty in 40 years.
Fire stations across the state, including the Bridgeport Fire Department, are honoring the fallen firefighter.
Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset Monday.
